Do you crave a greater sense of connection with the earth? Do you feel too separate from nature, or wonder how you can better align your life with natural rhythms?
This down-to-earth, family-friendly retreat is the perfect opportunity for people of all ages to learn ways to connect and co-create with Mother Nature. Sunburst’s resident permaculture teacher Sean Fennell will lead a hands-on exploration of soil building, composting, and following nature’s patterns in preparation for springtime growth. Explore symbiotic relationships in nature, seasonal cycles, and natural patterns.
This weekend retreat includes rejuvenation for the spirit as well as the soil, with activities for ages 4 through 104:
Adults enjoy yoga and guided meditation while children create a hands-on art project.
All ages join together to honor the cyclical nature of life in a morning gathering at Sunburst’s Wheel of Life.
Regenerating Soil & Soul, a hands-on permaculture workshop, will engage and inspire both children and adults.
A drumming circle will open the hearts of both adults and children, or children have the option to watch a movie with an inspiring message.
A Sunday morning meditation and music gathering in our light-filled Temple brings the weekend to a celebratory close.
Delicious vegetarian meals in our log-cabin Lodge are included throughout the weekend, using organic produce grown on the property when possible.
No prerequisite – come as you are, and bring the whole family!
Please register by February 28. All activities and meals are included for a sliding scale donation of $100 to $200 (adult) or $60 to $100 (child).
Onsite lodging and camping options are available for an additional donation. Cabins each have two twin beds, plus an optional floor pad or air mattress; bathroom is in a separate nearby building. (Let us know if you’d like the beds combined into a king.) Alternatively, you can bring a tent or vehicle for camping, or commute from home or a hotel. Shared cabins are $20/night per person; camping is $15/night per person.

To register online, click the Reserve Your Spot button below, then select your choice of Bed, Camp, or Event Only from the top drop-down menu. You’ll then see three donation levels to choose from: Base, Mid, or Sustaining level. These are sliding scale donation options, allowing you to choose the level that fits your individual means. Sunburst is a non-profit organization run solely on donations; your generosity is appreciated!
